SMS Musical The Lion King March 16th & 17th 7PM
THANK YOU! The Sequim School District wants to thank Olympic Personal Growth and Peninsula Behavioral Health for their investments in a community partnership with us. Without their help, we could not have been able to increase our mental health staff.
Instead, thanks to successful proposals, each organization received a grant from Clallam County via the legislative initiative known as the "Hargrove money". These two counselors will support our secondary students in the areas of chemical dependency (Rebecca Real) and mental health (Amalia Baker), respectively, and work in both the middle school and high school.
We are grateful to these two organizations and the services they can provide to students who need to decrease risk factors and increase protective factors.
VOLUNTEERS: Volunteers must be cleared each school year. This year, the district is introducing an all-online system for volunteer clearance. Individuals interested in volunteering in Sequim Schools may begin an online volunteer application process for the 2016-17 school year at https://sequimvolunteers.hrmplus.net/ The online application process requires an e-mail address and provides step-by-step assistance. A current Washington State driver's license or state ID card is required in order to run a background check. Please complete your application at least two weeks prior to the date you wish to begin volunteering to allow for the clearance process.
